You are invited to visit a working studio where dramatic and colourful abstracts offer a uniquely original viewpoint. A gallery area displays environmental landscape and detail pictures exploring saturated colours, textures and reflections found on this elemental island.

Paintings are based on the Scottish landscape as a starting point. Oils, acrylic, acrylic/collage, abstract to traditional. Textures play a large part in my work, as does personal interpretation.

I am a textile artist specialising in patchwork and quilted wall hangings, throws and bed covers. I have a number of items for sale, but mainly work to commission requests. I also sell a selection of patchwork fabrics and threads.

Beautifully hand made tweed bags and home accessories. The bags are carefully finished with corsages made from contrasting tweeds or with flowers which I have felted from merino wool. Perfectly unique! Visitors are always welcome but please phone first to avoid dissapointment.

I paint outside, on site, in oils and watercolor. My subject is the landscape: shore, hills, and sky in New England, USA, where I live, and on Skye, where I have come to paint for many years. It is on Skye, where theatrical light continually redefines the structure of the land, that I have found the perfect catalyst for how I enjoy painting. I have entered 'central' since I rent a cottage when I come to paint and have my work in both the Broadford Gallery and the Orbost Gallery. I don't have a residence on Skye at the moment, but am in the process of applying for a visa to move there.
